Marvel Rivals: PlayStation Skins & Launch Roster News

Marvel Rivals is set to launch fully on Friday, December 6, 2024, following a positive beta run by NetEase over the summer. As the release date approaches, the developer has revealed PlayStation-specific cosmetics and benefits that will be available to players on Sony’s platform at launch.

PlayStation-Exclusive Scarlet Spider Skin

A PS5-exclusive Scarlet Spider skin for Spider-Man was announced via the PlayStation Blog. This cosmetic gives Spider-Man a mostly red outfit with a black mask and black gloves, referencing the character’s classic comic look. While Spider-Man himself is playable on all platforms, this particular skin is locked to PS5 for the time being. Given Spider-Man’s strong association with PlayStation in video games, the exclusivity is perhaps unsurprising.

Free Peni Parker Venom Suit for PS Plus Subscribers

Another PlayStation-centric offer involves Peni Parker, a Spider-Verse character on the roster. PS Plus subscribers can claim a Venom suit for Peni Parker at no additional cost. Non-subscribers can still obtain the cosmetic, but must spend in-game currency. It remains unclear whether this skin will be available on PC or Xbox, or whether it will remain a PlayStation-exclusive like the Scarlet Spider suit.
