Eevee Grove: Eeveelution Easter Eggs (Pokemon TCG)
The Eevee Grove booster pack in Pokemon TCG Pocket has introduced a new illustration rare that rewards careful observation. The card depicts an Eevee trotting through a meadow, but the seemingly simple floral background hides deliberate references to all eight of Eevee’s evolved forms. Each differently-colored flower or berry around the scene points to a specific Eeveelution, offering keen-eyed collectors a subtle layer of detail.
Floral Tributes to Every Evolution
Starting from the top-left corner of the artwork and moving clockwise, the references unfold as follows: black berries represent Umbreon, pale pink flowers stand for Espeon, light blue flowers beneath them evoke Glaceon, and leaves further along signify Leafeon. Red flowers indicate Flareon, yellow dandelions at the bottom point to Jolteon, blue flowers in the bottom right mark Vaporeon, and flowers on the left before returning to Umbreon’s berries complete the set for Sylveon. The remaining placements follow the same clockwise pattern, ensuring all eight Eeveelutions are acknowledged without any hint of a rumored ninth evolution.
A Callback to a Legendary Card
Collectors have also noted that the new Umbreon illustration rare from the same booster pack bears a striking resemblance to the real-world Pokemon TCG’s highly sought-after and expensive Moonbreon card. This homage adds to the card’s appeal, much like a previous Ditto card in Pocket that hid multiple Ditto disguised as other Pokemon throughout its art. Pokemon TCG Pocket continues to reward attentive fans with these layered easter eggs.
